On-Line Biofilm Monitoring Sensor
ALVIM probe allows a real-time measurement of biofilm growth rate and of its possible decrease due to biocide injection in the plant.
The sensor is rapidly insertable in any industrial plant thanks to a simple threaded lock, and is connected just to one cable, which is in charge of transporting data and powering the sensor. On-Line Trihalomethane (THM) Monitoring System
Traditional laboratory analysis of water samples can take up to 10 days, too late for treatment process optimization. THM monitoring, along with other operational parameters, enable cost savings related to timing and amounts of source blending, coagulants, flocculants, disinfection agents, activated carbon, energy and other consumables by bringing the process “under control”. With continuous monitoring, any changes in THM levels can be rapidly identified and remediation processes changed accordingly.
The analysis technology is based on “purge and trap” extraction, followed by a chemical reaction that produces a colored product which is then quantified spectrophotometrically. The system has no known interferences with non-trihalomethane compounds, including TCE, carbon tetrachloride, and other organo-halogen VOCs regulated by the EPA for drinking water. More...
